Sonja Janse van Rensburg – Associate

Sonja Janse van Rensburg is a highly experienced Attorney, Notary, and Conveyancer at Van Zyl Kruger Inc. (VZK Inc). With a legal career spanning over three decades, she specialises in residential property development and a wide array of complex conveyancing and notarial matters.

Sonja holds B.Com (Law) and LL.B degrees from the University of Pretoria and gained extensive experience during her 20-year tenure at VDT Incorporated, where she served as a Director. Her deep expertise includes township and sectional title developments, as well as the securitisation of commercial funding.

After a successful venture in the bookstore industry and relocating to the Western Cape, Sonja returned to her legal roots in 2019 and joined the energetic team of VZK Inc. Outside the office, she qualified as a tourist guide with a passion for Cape Town’s history, and is also an avid enthusiast of hiking, travelling, and underwater photography.
